This model of a Gameboy was an opportunity to really challenge my hard-surface and texturing skills. I wanted to go for a beaten-up and worn-down look, something that’s been through the wringer with multiple owners and not too well looked after.

I really enjoyed getting into the nitty-gritty of the texture details such as wear patterns, fingerprints and scratches, and figuring out little things like how to create the recessed screen, and the damaged stickers on the back, and the cartridge.

Once I finished the model, I created a short animated turnaround to show it off in 360 degrees.
