I originally pitched a tutorial to tuts+ based on my Seas of Madness piece, which they were thrilled with. However, after some discussion, I decided it would be better to create a brand new piece with a totally digital process, which would allow me to film it in its entirety.

The concept was of a vintage poster design, as if I was creating a movie poster in an 18th Century Steampunk alternate reality.

I recorded 14 hours of footage, which were then compressed down to a 20 minute timelapse video, to accompany a 4000 word tutorial. The tutorial was voted one of the top 50 tutorials for that year.
