DRAGON PHILOSOPHER

Software: Zbrush, Blender, Substance Painter, Photoshop

In all my projects I aim to incorporate a learning experience. For this specific project I wanted to create believable subsurface scattering in Blender, and also try out some more extensive post-processing and compositing in Photoshop. The model was sculpted in Zbrush, with hard surface portions created in Blender. The model was then textured in Substance Painter, and then sent back to Blender for the final render.

I didn’t work from any concept art for this project, basing the model on my own ideas for sentient “Dragon Philosopher”, referencing a mixture of concepts from both Eastern and Western mythology in the design of the dragon.
